The New Year is upon us, and the expectations for an explosive party can slowly felt. But you just have a few beers, some (perhaps French) bubbles and otherwise just the usual splash?

Would you typically do not drink as many drinks as beer and wine in most cases will be the best choice. But do you want a little variety, maybe you’re not a big fan of beer or wine, so here’s a few suggestions what you could do!

Proposal 1 – øldrinks:
You can actually make good drinks with beer, and they fit especially well with food, as there naturally is a lot ølsmag back. But the aftertaste can pep up and be delicious.
12 oz beer (lager avoid, unless you love them. Try. A corona)
2 oz Citrus vodka Danzka
A pair of lime
1 fresh passion fruit (passion fruit syrup can not replace the fresh version!)

Mos glued to the bottom of a shaker and add vodka and then all the flesh from passion fruit. Shake with ice and strain into a cold beer glass. Fill in with Corona.

Proposal 2 – Moscow Mule Light
Try this lovely Russian with Ginger Ale, which has a nice fresh taste.

Fill a highball glass with vodka, ice cubes and lime juice. Stir a few times and add ginger ale soda. Garnish with a slice of lime.

Good drinks for dessert

Sweet drinks are a dessert in itself, so in what follows, I recommend two drinks which could go as a dessert and two drinks is not so sweet to offset the sweet dessert you probably still have to face.

Grated chocolate

Blend ice cream, chocolate milk and liqueur together. In cold tall glass, place a ball vanilla ice cream in the glass, and milkshakes lucky. Put whipped cream on top and garnish with grated chocolate. Serve with a few straws.

4 oz light rum – eg. Havana or Flor de Cana.
6 oz Coconut Cream
8-10 oz Pineapple Juice

Blend the above with some ice cream has the consistency is smooth. Server in a cold hurricane glass filled with ice. Garnish with a piece of pineapple, pineapple leaf and cocktail cherries.

1 oz Ginger Syrup (recipe ginger syrup here )

Serve over ice cubes in a champagne glass. Pour the champagne in the end, and stir a few times with a harsh.

A hammer good cocktail
It requires a lot of shopping, but when it is said, this is one of the best cocktails I’ve tasted in recent memory! Great interaction between the ingredients creates a harmonious cocktail is certainly a new year celebration value.
4.5 oz Gin (Geranium is quite excellent)
1.5 cl Brandy
4 oz Fresh strawberry juice
4 oz Pineapple Juice
1.5 cl Gomme
1.5 cl Fresh lime / lemon juice
Twist: lemon peel, which is twisted over the glass

Shake all ingredients with ice, and strain them into a chilled cocktail glass. The result is a very harmonious cocktail that is both visual, scent and taste is second to none. Smells of lemon mousse, summer and citrus.

Drinks for after dinner but before 24

Sometimes you get eaten too much of the good nytårsmad and it is therefore a good idea to focus on light drinks that are not too sweet and fatty. The classics Mojito and G & T is here obvious, but try also one of the following delicious drinks:

Ginger Smash
3 oz Infused vodka with ginger
2 oz ginger syrup (Monin, homemade or Danisco)
8 oz Organic ginger ale soda (eg. Natural fresh)
Fresh lime
Fresh ginger

Mash with ginger syrup and lime. Add ice cubes, vodka and lastly ginger ale. Stir in the glass, and serve with straws. A nice high-performance drink that gives taste buds a kick!

Blackberry caipirinha
Caipirinha – classic without blackberries is also a good drink, but you are not quite so fresh-bitter drink, try this delicious variety.
4 cl Pitu (or Ypioca / Sagatiba) Cachaca rum
2 oz blackberry syrup (Monin)
Fresh blackberries
Fresh lime
Possibly. Cane
Mash lime and blackberry (save a few for garnish) in drinks glass. Add crushed ice and you Cachaca’en. Stir well, garnish with a few blackberries at the top of the glass, lying on the crushed ice and serve with straws.

Kl. 24 and later

True to tradition, you enjoy a glass of champagne at 24th Is not the dry brut, one can always choose a Demi Sec or Rosé. However, there is also opportunity to make his champagne, or especially if it is not French, sweeter. Add 1-2 oz fruit syrups for your champagne, and you have a nice round flavor. Do not forget the classic, Kir Royale, which include 2-3 oz blackberry liqueur, and the rest of champagne.
Now that the champagne bottle certainly is opened, here are a few good suggestions what you can do with it.

Buck’s Fizz
8 oz Champagne
4 cl Orange juice (freshly squeezed, especially in this appelsintid!)
1 cl Grenadinesirup

Add champagne and orange juice in a champagne glass. Then add grenadine.

Champagne Charlie
8 oz Champagne (Piper Heidsieck)
2 cl Apricot Brandy (eg. Bols)

Added to a chilled champagne glass.

Frenchtown 75
10 cl Champagne
2 oz Gin
2 oz Lemon Juice
1 harsh brown sugar

Shake sugar, lemon juice and gin with large ice cubes. Strain this into champagne glass and then add the champagne. Are not you so much for gin, so you can replace it with bourbon (Frenchtown 95) or cognac (Frenchtown 125).

When you get tired – but will not give up

When they get tired, but you’re not ready to go to bed, try these lovely hot drinks with coffee. They taste wonderful, and gets tired on standby.

Westerhaws coffee
15 cl hot coffee as you like it (without sugar, milk, etc.)
3-4 cl Westerhawsolie (shot at 35%, with a taste of English liquorice)

Power coffee
1 / 3 of hot coffee
1 / 3 part Baileys
1 / 3 part Kahlua

Sweet, hot coffee drink that turns away. So low it is not your biggest coffee mug.

We wish you a happy New Year and we hope you have been just as happy now as the old year we have and look forward to an even more exciting time in the coming year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
