Seattle Bar guide

As mentioned before, DrinksMeister was on a bar- and cocktail adventure in the land of opportunitues earlier this month. On this adventure DrinksMeister visited different cocktail bars and got to talk to different bartenders and bar managers about everything from trends in USA, spirits etc.

But besides the bars that has already been mentioned, Seattle offers significantly more going-out places, where cocktails are still served by the highest of standards. We have listed some of the different cocktail bars in Seattle.

Art Lounge
Savour refreshing cocktails, delightful fine dining selections from a seasonal menu – and pristine views of Puget Sound at ART Restaurant and Lounge in downtown Seattle near Pike Place Market.
Unwind with a handcrafted cocktail, sample our creative approach to classic bar food and converse with friends, family or colleagues — all in a modern setting with Northwest-inspired details.

Ba bar:

A Vietnamese restaurant which, besides being specialized in Vietnamese dishes, also is known for their cocktail bar which primarily serves classic cocktails.
DrinksMeister was amongst other bars in Ba Bar this year, read more about it here

Bathtub Gin & Co.:
Prohibition style! It cannot be described any easier than that.
It is not easy to find this place, hidden in a dark alley, only marked by a silver plate by the door. Inspired by a classic 1920’s speakeasy, Bathtub Gin & Co. is a hidden treasure dedicated to the more British liqueur: gin.
Embrace drinks with gin and try a straight up dirty martini or one of the more advanced cocktails such as rum filled bolero – do not despair, the drinks are not mixed in his tub (any longer).
Upstairs, book worms can find a collection of history books shown besides the bar.

Canon:
Offhand the place does not look that special, but as soon you step inside and look around you feel the atmosphere from a former century.
The decor is baroque and the entire place makes you sense the “old” style embracing you. Many hundreds of different spirits placed on shelves makes the room even more unique. Canon is a whiskey- and bitter cocktail bar.

The Augustus:
It opened in December 2012 and is placed in the middle of Seattle. They are specialized in classic cocktails and have a broad selection of quality beer and wine.

The décor in the bar seems inspired by the 1800’s, while their cocktails are inspired by the 1900’s. This means that many of their cocktails only are 3-4 components per cocktail and that most of these ingredients are liqueur.
